The director and actor Alessandro Gassman  will open, with the actor Manrico Gammarota, on Saturday, July 20 at 21:00, at the Arena Don Tonino Bello Villa Europa in San Vito dei Normanni, the eleventh edition of Salento Finibus Terrae Film Festival International Short Film. The festival - free admission to availability- the brainchild of director Romeo Conte, will be held in the Upper Salento until Sunday, July 28. The opening night of the festival will see the screening of the feature film Razzabastarda, first film as director for Gassman, recently awarded the Golden Globe for Best Actor, which has racked up three nominations at the David di Donatello and 4  nominations at the Silver Ribbon . The film, which uses the music by Pivio & Aldo de Scalzi and the original song "Life is possible," signed by Francesco Renga, tells about Roman (played by Alessandro Gassman), a Romanian migrant arrived in Italy thirty years ago and then entered in a matter of selling cocaine and petty crime. Roman has a dream that is not willing to give up: to givea different and better life  to his son Nicu, who raised without a mother. But can a guy -who has breathed since the first cry that environment and dynamics- really want to be something different? During the evening, guests will be delivered the Salento Finibus Terrae Awards,  and Baume & Mercier, the main sponsor of the Festival for the second, will award Alessandro Gassman with a watch of the new collections.
